Kicking my May photography off on the Pentax KP w/DA 40mm F2.8 Limited, not great light today plus the city was a little too quiet

I have one billion images this time around because of the spring break. Now I go and surrender my life to exams for 3 weeks...

Took my new to me Nikkor AF 85mm F1.8 for a quick spin on the walk home from work earlier this week. With more time I think I could get some really nice results from this lens. All shot on the Sony A7 II

I missed the Northen light display.  Here are the sunspots that caused them 200-500mm +1.7 TCII with DIY filter.  A LOT of PP. As Nigel Tufnel would say turn it to 11.

I guess this was taken back in March according to the exif data, but I just edited it. It was from my first batch of color film taken on my Pentax LX and it's one of my favorite shots from the rolls.

Few pics from Mother's Day taken on the Sony A7II w/YN 35mm F2, really like this combo for home portraits and snaps

I think the crispy post-processing is nice here, even if extreme - it really helps them sunspots stand out and makes the sun look more "lively" than a static glowing thing. Very cool shot.

Happy snappin' 🙂

I was able to catch some of the aurora activity this last weekend. I was sick, but that ended up working out because I couldn't sleep at 3am because of it and thought I might as well wander around town. It was bright enough and our town is small enough that I could even get it over our "downtown" and river dam. Met another photographer out there at 3am, which really shocked me.

Pentax K-1 + IRIX 21mm f1.4 (big fan of this lens, and the manual focus lock!)

Been shooting the Ricoh GX200 a lot lately as my daily camera. Makes for some nice snaps.
